220 g bean paste
50 g butter, softened
1/4 c vegetable oil
1/2 c sugars
1 t almond essence
1 1/2 plain flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 c ground almonds (optional)
icing sugar (optional)
Preheat the oven to 150 deg C.
Butter and flour a loose bottom 9" round cake pan.
Cream the bean paste with the butter and almond essence.
In a mixing bowl beat the eggs & sugar until creamy and add to the
bean paste mixture.
Sift flour and baking powder together into the creamed mixture and mix as lightly as possible.
Pour batter into the prepared cake pan and sprinkle ground almonds on top.
Bake for 20-25 min at 150 deg C or when toothpick inserted comes out clean.
