Plum Streusel Cake

3 c. plain or all purpose flour
3 t. baking powder
½ t. salt
2 eggs
1 c. refined sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
¾ c. natural yoghurt
3/4 c. milk
1 t. vanilla essence
Plums stoned and cut in halves, enough to cover the batter
½ c. brown sugar
Preheat oven to 180 deg C.
Grease and line 2 baking pans, set aside.
In a bowl beat oil and sugar and add eggs one at a time until creamy and add vanilla essence.
Sift in the cream mixture flour, baking powder and salt and stir to combine.
Pour batter in the prepared baking pans and arrange plums on top of the batter facing up.
Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the plums and bake at150 deg. C for about 40-45 minutes and serve with fresh whipped cream or ice cream.
If plums are not in season replace it with apples-cored, peeled and sliced or peaches.
